Theatre viscera's inaugural play
Ride It Out ran the first two weekends of August ‘19 at the Headwaters Theater in Portland, OR and had 8 total performances, including a preview and a free student night.
The play was a semi-devised, semi-autobiographical piece by Theatre Viscera co-founder and co-artistic director Avery Kester. The play follows Ellery, a nonbinary college student struggling with PTSD in the wake of sexual violence. As their mental health spirals, the ghosts of intimacy come to haunt their every waking moment. |
